Somerset's Changing Landscape - Photography Competition - here's our winner

 In 2018 we teamed up with the County Gazette to run a photographic competition on the theme of Somerset's Changing Landscape.  The last 50 years have seen enormous changes in the way we all live our lives but we still cherish our unique and varied Somerset landscapes.  We have had some great entries and it is fascinating to see how your images explore and illustrate Somerset's Changing Landscape.  Some of our favoirites are below.

 Our trio of judges - CPRE Somerset chairman Prof Chris Lewis, professional photographer Kit Houghton and County Gazette Editor, Paul Jones. all perused the pictures and awarded points to their favourites.  The overall winner,  who receives a prize of £100, is Sue Locke, for her entry  - The ghost of an oak tree stands sentinel on former farmland now Porlock Marsh - see top of webpage  
 
Meanwhile, readers of the County Gazette voted for their own favourite in September and the clear winner was Quantocks Sunset by Shannon Warner - she receives a prize of £50 from the County Gazette.
